The Learning Tower from Little Partners retails for $199.99 and why yes, that is A LOT of money for a fancy platform, I’ll make the case it’s a great investment for any parent.
My son loves “my tower” and uses it every time we’re in the kitchen making dinner, cleaning dishes or just needing to pass time. The tower’s base (the part your child stands on) can be easily raised and lowered as they grow, which gives it lots of flexibility for its uses. The overall feel of the tower is very strong and just because I’m an oversized kid, I’ve been known to stand on it with no flex to be found.
We’ve used the tower to help teach our son to wash his hands and put his plate in the sink after dinner. The assembly for the tower only takes a few minutes and like Ikea furniture can be done with an allen wrench.
The downside to the tower would be the cost and how much square footage it takes up. While my wife and I looked at the $200 dollar tower as something he will be using for the next five years, I can understand that for many parents they’re not going to want to spend that kind of money. The other problem of it taking up so much real estate in the kitchen is something you’ll need to decide if you can live with. We’ve taken to moving it to the dining room when not in use.
While the Little Partners Learning Tower is perfect for my family and comes with my approval, I would understand if the price keeps it out of reach for some. This might be something that you look for at a baby consignment store or add to your baby registry and hold onto for a few months.
